Tessa

TESSA tells the story of a young woman who lives on the baron Donegal coastline in Northern Ireland who has recently lost her lover. Trying to get on with her life, she begins to experience strange things and a mysterious figure appears to her in the middle of the night, pleading with her to join him. Could it be her lover?

TESSA was shot over a weekend in early 1992 in Donegal, Northern Ireland. Using very little dialogue and relying substancially on visuals and music, James took full advantage of the baron landscapes and jagged coastline, at times, lying right on the edge of the cliff, some of which were several hundred feet high, just to get a good shot.
