James McDonald

James was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1972. He grew up watching and loving American Television and movies and remembers being in awe when he saw STAR WARS at age five at the Savoy Cinema in Dublin City. However, it wasn't STAR WARS that gave James the urge to want to make movies, it was another George Lucas creation: RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK. At age nine, James saw Indiana Jones on the big screen for the first time and it was at that exact moment, that James would start to visualise stories in his head.

At age ten, he would walk around his house with his father's 8mm Bell & Howell movie camera and pretend he was filming. He would sometimes have his sister Cathy, act out a scene so he could work out his shots around her. However, at age twelve, his mother bought him his very own silent 8mm movie camera and it was then, that his love of making films began. For the next four years, he would spend all his pocket money on buying four-minute films and shooting them with his friends on the weekends.

It was the year 1988 when James enrolled in the Liberties College in Bull Alley in Dublin. Here, James learned how to use video equipment with sound as opposed to his own silent movie camera. He learned how to edit, shoot, light and produce videos. In order to learn how to edit, a friend showed him the basics and then he would stay in the edit suite and teach himself how to use all the tools. This has come in very handy for James today when shooting his movies. He admits, "Hiring a professional editor to edit your movies can be very expensive, that's why I learned to edit myself at an early age."

James moved to the United States in October of 1994 to further his career in filmmaking. He recalls, "It was great making films back in Ireland but there really is no film industry back home. In the years since I left, there's been a surge in more TV channels and independent production companies but Ireland is capable of so much more, in terms of major motion pictures but unfortunately, there's more talent in Ireland than there is films, that's why so many people have to move overseas to try and get their big break."

James has made many movies over the years that have won various awards including the Telly Award, the Aegis Award and the Accolade Award and has had his films shown at numerous film festivals around the world, including the 2007 AFI Dallas International Film Festival, the Galway Film Fleadh in Ireland, the Golden Knight International Film and Video Festival in Malta, the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival, the Foyle Film Festival in Northern Ireland and the Guernsey Lily International Film & Video Festival on the Channel Islands off the coast of England.

In 2006 James produced the music video OPTIMYSTIC for Erin McGrew for which they have already won the 2006 (Finalist) Aegis Award for Best Drama/Entertainment, the 2006 Accolade Award for Best Entertainment and the 2007 Telly Award for Best Entertainment. James' feature DIVINE SOULS, had its World Premiere at the 2007 AFI Dallas International Film Festival. It was chosen as the Special Presentation of the entire festival and played to a sold-out crowd. James is currently in production on his latest movie, a short thriller titled A CONVERSATION WITH MR. D and has several more films lined up after his current film is completed. Click HERE to check out James' imdb.com credentials.

Born in Fort Worth, Texas in 1974, Aaron was raised in a regular suburban household in Burleson, Texas. He was a curious child with an imagination and a love of his church. It was there that he felt a connection to the stage based on their regular live dramas. At six years old he was already performing in front of the crowds. These elements, and a need to create a memoir of the images in his mind, brought about a desire to put pen to paper. Aaron wrote many things that would not be brought to fruition until he was sixteen.

At age seventeen, Aaron would begin training other actors in what would later become known as Human Videos. These were similar to watching music videos of your favorite songs acted out live on stage. At this point he knew he had to direct stage. At eighteen, Aaron had directed his first Human Video to a standing room only audience at Willow Springs Church in Fort Worth.

At twenty, Aaron had become a full scale writer and director performing at several different venues throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth area. He is best known for his playwright entitled Victory, which centered upon the supernatural aspects of the Crucifixion. Limited only by his imagination, crowds would see an interpretation as they had never seen it before.

As the years passed he felt it necessary to expand upon the world of film. While breaking the boundaries of the visuals brought to life on stage, he could not ignore the limitless abilities of the camera lens. Becoming familiar with his first camcorder, a full sized VHS dinosaur, he had the weapon that would become his segue to the next level. An Engineer by trade, and a limited budget would lead him to create his own practical effects out of his garage. Through technical difficulty, trial, and error he would not give up until the desired effect was achieved on film. A luxury not afforded to him when performing live on stage. Alas, his bond with film would become stronger.

Technology continues to push the boundaries and Aaron strives to keep up on the latest advancements. Utilizing advanced, professional, non-linear editing suites and high definition cameras, he is able to once again, bring a world once thought impossible, to life.

Aaron is currently finishing up on a feature length horror/thriller titled We Are Not The Only. He says he would like to pay homage to all the scary movies he grew up with and create an original story that would stick in the minds of all who see it for years to come. This project is tentatively scheduled for shooting in late 2010, early 2011.
